Back in 2003, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder guested on Cat Power's album You Are Free. This spring, Chan Marshall will return the favor. On May 31, Vedder will release his solo album Ukulele Songs on Pearl Jam's own Monkeywrench Records imprint. As the title implies, the album consists entirely of Vedder performing solo songs (originals and covers) on the ukulele. Cat Power guests on the song "Tonight You Belong to Me", while the Glen Hansard of the Frames and the Swell Season shows up on another track, "Sleepless Nights". First single "Longing to Belong" is out digitally tomorrow in North America; it's out right now internationally.
